Why do they have to prove themselves by fighting? can't they just learn to respect one another and just get over it? I hate when people insult each other for no reason whatsoever. You can't prove you're better than someone else by just declaring it; you have to act nobly and be the better person in order to convince someone. Using your fists isn't going to get you anything but a bloody nose. To get respect, you have to give it without expecting anything in return.
